Mr. Tsutomu Kurihara, President of Daikin Industries (Thailand) Ltd. attended the ceremony to receive the certificate of registration of testing laboratories under the ASEAN EE MRA : AHEEERR Agreement project from Mr. Narun Suksaman, Deputy Secretary-General of The Thai Industrial Standards Institute on April 8, 2025 at Daikin Industries (Thailand) Ltd. Chonburi Province

Daikin Industries (Thailand) Ltd. is the largest air conditioner manufacturing base in the ASEAN-Oceania region, focusing on producing high-quality and efficient air conditioners, in line with the organization's core concept of "Perfecting the Air". In the product research and development process, Daikin places great importance on product analysis and testing, including energy savings, safety and air conditioner efficiency. Daikin passed the Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) test, which is controlled by a test room with a precise quality control system and technical management

The EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility) test room of Daikin was established in August 2017 at Research & Development Center. It consists of various types of test rooms, such as the semi-reflection electromagnetic wave blocking test room (SAC chamber), the portable EMC test room (Portable Shielding Tent) and the open area test room (Open Area Test Site: OATS)

In 2023, this EMC test room was the first test room from an air conditioner manufacturer in Thailand to be certified. The quality system of the test room is according to ISO/IEC 17025 standards from the Thai Industrial Standards Institute (TISI) and from the IEC/IECEE Institute in Sweden, with the testing scope covering all countries in Europe, including Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong and Taiwan, etc.

Both The Portable Shielding Tent and The Open Area Test Site (OATS) are the first and only test rooms in Thailand that had received this standard at that time

Later in 2024, Daikin's EMC test room was certified as a testing laboratory in Vietnam under the ASEAN EE MRA (AHEEERR) project, the first in Thailand and ASEAN countries in the EMC test room group from air conditioner manufacturers participating in the project. This also helps increase the testing scope to cover all countries in Europe and ASEAN countries.
