Daikin Advances Support for the New Era of the Sharks with Official Renaming of Home Stadium to “Chonburi Daikin Stadium,” Ready to Conquer Every Match

Daikin takes a significant step forward alongside the people of Chonburi by officially signing a naming rights agreement for Chonburi FC’s home ground, now known as “Chonburi Daikin Stadium.” The company’s executives expressed great honor in being part of supporting local football and committing to stand by the team through every challenge. They believe this new symbol will usher in a successful new era for the Sharks.

Mr. Tsutomu Kurihara, President of Daikin Industries (Thailand) Co., Ltd., spoke about Daikin’s growth in Thailand: “For over 50 years, Daikin has operated in Thailand, beginning its business in Chonburi province. It has grown to become the group’s largest manufacturing base, exporting products to more than 50 countries worldwide. Chonburi is thus a critical production hub for both the Asian market and the global air conditioning industry.”

Moreover, Chonburi has developed a deep connection with Daikin—not only through people, education, and careers but also via football, a sport cherished and celebrated by the local community for many years. Since 2014, Daikin has been an official major sponsor of Chonburi FC, sharing moments of joy, success, and challenges with the club’s fans and players alike.

Mr. Witthaya Khunpluem, President of Chonburi FC, commented:

“Daikin has long supported Chonburi FC, even when the club was competing in Thai League 1. Although this season we played in Thai League 2, Daikin remained a loyal friend, continuing its strong support. The signing of the naming rights agreement for the club’s home stadium as ‘Chonburi Daikin Stadium’ officially cements this partnership.

On behalf of everyone in Chonburi, I would like to thank Daikin Industries (Thailand) for trusting in our long-term vision of building the team by giving opportunities to youth players through our academy system, nurturing them into the senior squad, and eventually into key players for all levels of the Thai national team. I promise that everyone in the club will not let Daikin, our partner, down. This year, Chonburi FC will fight to win the Thai League 2 championship and return to the top tier next season.”

Mr. Tsutomu Kurihara added:

“Daikin remains committed to continuously supporting Chonburi FC and working together to overcome all difficulties. We believe that the roaring cheers in the stadium will bring happiness and hope. It is a great honor for Daikin to be part of supporting local community activities through one of the best stadiums. We sincerely hope the new symbol of Chonburi province will be warmly embraced and benefit all people in the region.”

“Finally, Daikin wishes Chonburi FC victory in every match and great success alongside the new name ‘Chonburi Daikin Stadium,’ which will officially start this new era from August onward.”
