Amid escalating environmental challenges, including climate change, global warming and the decline of forest resources, ecosystem restoration and the expansion of green spaces have become critical priorities that require collaboration across all sectors to help restore ecological balance and preserve a healthy environment for future generations.
Daikin Group is committed to conducting its business alongside creating value for society and the environment under a sustainable development approach. The company actively collaborates with local communities and relevant organizations to conserve and restore natural resources through its “DAIKIN Reforestation Project”. Since its inception in 2008, the project has been continuously implemented for over 17 years, resulting in the planting of more than 30,000 trees across an area exceeding 200 rai in the eastern region of Thailand, including Chonburi Province.
In 2026, Daikin Group, together with its employees, local communities and partner networks, planted 1,500 trees across an area of 7 rai at the Ban Khao Phet Community Forest, Village No. 8, Nong Irun Subdistrict, Ban Bueng District, Chonburi Province. This initiative aims to expand green spaces, restore ecosystem integrity, promote biodiversity and enhance carbon dioxide absorption capacity, one of the key approaches to mitigating the impacts of climate change.

The event was honored by the presence of Ms. Jumpita Singthothong, Head of Nong Irun Subdistrict, who delivered the welcome remarks to participants. Ms. Praweenporn Rungsee, Chairperson of the Corporate Social Responsibility Committee of Daikin Industries (Thailand) Ltd., outlined the objectives of the project. The opening ceremony was presided over by Mr. Tsutomu Kurihara, President of Daikin Industries (Thailand) Ltd., who officially declared the project open.

This activity reflects the power of collaboration among the business sector, local communities and partner organizations in jointly preserving natural resources. It also helps raise environmental awareness and encourages active participation from all sectors in driving society toward sustainable development.
This initiative aligns with Daikin Group’s environmental vision to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050. The company pursues this goal through reducing greenhouse gas emissions, conserving natural resources and creating shared value with society, with the aim of delivering a sustainable world and a better quality of life for both present and future generations.
