- Do I need to register as a member to use the voice operation "Daikin Mobile Controller"?

To use Google Home, Google membership registration is required.
To use the "DAIKIN Mobile Controller" skill, you need to get the login ID and password to operate from the outside(Out-of-Home) with the DAIKIN Mobile Controller app.
For details, refer to "Setup Out-of-Home" in "Initial setup" in the operation manual of the DAIKIN Mobile Controller App.
- What do I need to do to control the Daikin's products with a Google Assistant-compatible device?

A product of Daikin Industries that supports voice operation is required*.

Required. The voice control app connects to Daikin's products via the Daikin server on the Internet.

- I don't know how to link my account. What are login ID and password?

This is the login ID and password used for operations from outside using the DAIKIN Mobile Controller App.
Please refer to “Initial setup” in the [DAIKIN Mobile Controller] operation manual.

- Account link cannot be completed successfully. (DAIKIN Mobile Controller skill is not registered in "Linked Services" even if you tap "Settings" on the installation location setting screen). What should i do?

This can happen if you have multiple Google accounts.
Make sure that the google account enabled in the app "Google Home" and the google account enabled in the browser used for the account link are the same.
- Account link cannot be completed normally (the device I want to use is not displayed on the login screen) What should I do?

1. Make sure that your device is listed on the compatible model.

2. Make sure that your device's firmware meet the requirements.
The Firmware version of Wireless LAN connecting adaptor must be 1.16.0 or higher for BRP072C42, BRP072C42-1 and must be 1.19.0 or higher for BRP084C42, BRP084C44.
3. Make sure that you have enabled Out-of-Home for the device you want to use using the DAIKIN Mobile Controller App.
If you have multiple devices, you need to enable "Out-of-Home" for each device.

- Account link cannot be completed normally (device name or device list number are not equal between DAIKIN app and Account link page) What should I do?

Make sure that the device name in the DAIKIN Mobile Controller app doesn't contain slash (/) or colon (:) symbol. Note: slash (/) and colon (:) symbols are not allowed in DAIKIN Mobile Controller app.

- The Google Assistant compatible device does not recognize the utterance. How can I improve the recognition of my voice?

1. Please refer to the utterance example described in the instruction manual.
2. Make sure that you don't get any noise when talking to a device that supports the Google Assistant.
3. Speak clearly to your Google Assistant-enabled device in a natural way.
4. Make sure that your Google Assistant language is match to your voice, or in case English, make sure that your accent is matched to the Google Assistant language.
- The response is "I don't know the installation location" and I cannot operate by voice.

When multiple devices are installed, it is necessary to give the "installation location (living room, etc.)" and "device name (air conditioner, etc.)" to identify the product.

- The response is "Sorry, something went wrong and I'm unable to control your home device." and I cannot operate the AC.

The air conditioner is operating in the mode that not allow you to command (ex. Powerful mode or there is an error on the air conditioner)
You cannot operate it until the air conditioner mode back to normal.
- I received the positive reply from Google Assistant, but the Daikin's products does not work.

If the main body of the air conditioner or the air purifier has an error, or if the multi-air conditioner has a different operation mode from the other rooms that are being operated earlier, it may not operate.
- Is it possible to set the humidity and operate the humidification?

It does not support humidity setting or humidification operation.
- Is it possible to operate for laundry and cleaning mode with the air conditioner?

The types of operation are supported for automatic, heating, cooling, fan-only and dry.
- It cannot be operated by voice during Powerful mode with the air conditioner.

You cannot operate the voice while operating with the following functions. Powerful mode and during the air conditioner errors.
- Is it possible to operate multiple Daikin's products with one Google Assistant compatible device?

Yes, you can. If you have multiple devices installed,
please indicate the installation location (living room, etc.) or the device name to identity the device.
For example, say "OK Google, set the living room with heating"
- Which of the remote controls, smartphones, and Google Assistant compatible devices that come with the air conditioner has priority?
-
The person who operated later has priority. However, if you operate it from another device,
you will not be able to operate it from your smartphone or Google Assistant compatible device for 15 seconds.
- Is there a notification from the Google Assistant compatible device if I cannot start the device due to an error?
-
There is no notification using a device that supports the Google Assistant.
If a voice operation is performed while an error is occurring, the error is responded.
- The response is "Sorry it looks like [device name] isn't available right now". But the device status is Online. What should i do?

You cannot operate the device if the Vacation mode is enabled in DAIKIN Mobile Controller.
To make the AC back to operation, please disable the Vacation mode by app or turn on AC by remote control.
- My device disappeared from Google Home app. What's happen? and what should I do?

The device in Google Home app will be deleted after the device offilne more than 365 days.
If you want the device back to appear in Google Home app, please follow below instructions.
1. In case you have only 1 device.
in this case, Google Home will unlink your action from your Google account, you need to link DAIKIN Mobile Controller action again.
2. In case you have 2 devices or more.
please make it online by register it to the same Out-of-home account and then you can say "Hey Google, synchronize my devices" to the Google Assistant.
- The device didn't operated after I changed the device name in DAIKIN Mobile Controller app, what should I do?

Make sure that the device name in the DAIKIN Mobile Controller app doesn't contain slash (/) or colon (:) symbol.
And after that, if you changed the device name successfully, please open the Google Home app and say "Sync my device" or "Discovery my devices" before operating the device.
Note: Slash (/) and colon (:) symbols are not allowed in DAIKIN Mobile Controller app.
- After ON/OFF the air conditioner from Google Home, the temperature setting of the air conditioner is changed, why?

In case the setting temperature is out of range, it will be adjusted to be in the range.
The supported temperature range are described below.
- Auto mode : 18 - 30 °C
- Cooling mode : 18 - 32 °C
- Heating mode : 10 - 30 °C
- I updated the device firmware by Daikin Mobile Controller app after that my devices in Google Home become UNAVAILABLE/OFFLINE and unable to operate, what should I do?

Open Google Home app and try Reconnect account of the ""DAIKIN Mobile Controller"" service or you can follow below instructions:
How to reconnect account.
1. Open Google Home app and go to "Settings".
2. Seek for "Services" topic then tap on "Works with Google".
3. Below the "Linked services", tap on "DAIKIN Mobile Controller" and select "Reconnect account".
4. Select "Continue" and follow the instruction on the screen.
- When I ask Google Assistant to raise the temperature by 0.5°c or adjust temperature as decimal number (ex. 25.5°c), Google Assistant responds "The device does not supported yet.".

The temperature with a decimal number is not supported.
- When I ask Google Assistant to set temperature lower than 18 (ex. 16.0°c) Google Assistant responds "The device can't be set to that temperature.".

If…
- I forgot my ID and password to operate from the outside (Out-of-Home account).

A password for operating from the outside(Out-of-Home) can't be reset. It is neccessary to re-create new ID and password.
If you are using In-home mode, in the "Adapter settings" screen, the ID and password can be reset, to reset it, please turn the Out-of-Home function to OFF then turn in ON again, you can create new ID and password from here.
- I would like to change the name of "Installation location", what should I do?

You can change the installation location (room) and nickname from the application "Google Home".
Please check the help of Google Home.
Remark: Please note that slash (/) and comma (,) symbol are not allowed in DAIKIN Mobile Controller app.
- I would like to change the device nickname of the air conditioner, what should I do?

You can change the name of the device with the DAIKIN Mobile Controller App.
Please check "Device list" → "Edit unit" in the instruction manual of DAIKIN Mobile Controller App.
- When I renamed the device in the DAIKIN Mobile Controller App, the name in Google also changed too. What should I do now?

If you want to use a different name from the DAIKIN Mobile Controller App, change the name of the device in the app "Google Home".
(After the change, even if you change the name with the DAIKIN Mobile Controller App, it will not be reflected in Google)
- I purchased a product and want to register it, or I have abandoned the product and want to delete it. What should I do?

In case new device registration.
Method 1) Please enable the Out-of-home for the new device and wait for a while, the new device will be appearred on Google Home app.
Method 2) Please enable the Out-of-home for the new device and disable the skill "DAIKIN Mobile Controller" and then enable it again ( Out-of-home ID and password are required).
In case abandon the device.
Method 1) Please disable the Out-of-home for the device you want to delete and wait for a while, the device will be removed from Google Home app.
Method 2) Please disable the Out-of-home for the device you want to delete and disable the skill "DAIKIN Mobile Controller" and then enable it again ( Out-f-home ID and password are required).
